[Ferro-Alloys.com]US steelmaker Evraz North America has increased its prices for flat steel products.
The company raised prices on 13 March for carbon, high strength, low alloy (HSLA), hot rolled coil (HRC) normalized plate, and quenched and tempered products by $60/short ton (st). Evraz North America operates an electric arc furnace (EAF) mill in Pueblo, Colorado, a plate mill in Portland, Oregon, an electric arc furnace (EAF) facility in Regina, Saskatchewan, and and multiple pipe facilities across Canada.
Evraz North America's announcement comes after integrated steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs increased prices the morning of 13 March by $100/st and set a HRC price minimum of $1,200/st. EAF steelmaker Nucor increased plate prices on the same day by $50/st, while EAF competitor SSAB Americas also raised plate prices by $80/st. argusmedia
