【Ferro-alloys.com】:According to the American lron and Steel Institute(AISI), in the week ending on September 9,2023, US domestic raw steel production was 1,721,000 net tons while the capability utilization rate was 75.7 percent.

Production for the week ending September 9, 2023 is down 0.5 percent from the previous week ending September 2,2023 when production was 1,729,000 net tons and the rate of capability utilization was 76.0 percent.

Production was 1,684,000 net tons in the week ending September 9, 2022 while the capability utilization then was 76.4 percent. The current week production represents a 2.2 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.

Adjusted year-to-date production through September 9,2023 was 61,565,000 net tons, at a capability utilization rate of76.0 percent. That is down 1.7 percent from the 62,632,000 net tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 79.4 percent.
