MRIWA 2024 grant applications now open
The 2024 Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia (MRIWA) grant applications are now open, with a key focus on minerals research projects that are addressing a challenge facing the WA minerals industry.
The government body said it seeks to support projects across its key focus areas such as net-zero emission mining, green steel, exploration amplification, critical minerals, alternative use of tailings and waste, precision and low-impact mining.
Applications will be accepted throughout 2024, however they must align with a program and theme from MRIWA’s research priority plan, which describes the medium to long-term knowledge and technology needs of WA’s minerals industry to ensure it can deliver an economic and social benefit for the state.
