Brazil's iron ore exports totaled 153Mt in January-July, down from 161Mt in the same period last year, according to national iron ore and base metals association Sinferbase.
Of total iron ore shipments in January- July, Vale accounted for 137Mt and Samarco, 12Mt.
Pellet exports in the first seven months totaled 26.3Mt, down from 29.9Mt in the same period last year.
Domestic iron ore sales in January-July declined to 14.6Mt from 17Mt year-on-year. Vale sold 12.9Mt, followed by MMX with 1.41Mt and Samarco with 297,000t.
