Proactive Investors reported that Terry Streeter's Western Areas has come up with a bumper 8% nickel intersection from drilling at its new high grade nickel discovery at New Morning.

Drilling has been testing for extensions of the New Morning mineralization below the T3 fault.

Exploration efforts are committed to fully test the newly discovered high grade mineralization at New Morning. This has the potential to add significant nickel metal to this project.

Although often variable using a NITON portable XRF analyzer, the results returned an average grade of 8% nickel over the intercept and the highest grade returned to date.

The massive sulphide intercepted included a 3.6 metre interval and are 70 metres down dip from the original intercept of 3 metres at 6.3% nickel from NMD177.

Assays will be fast tracked and a downhole electromagnetic survey will be completed in the next few days to further define the mineralized area.

The results show recent drilling is bearing fruit for Western Areas and given the established mining infrastructure immediately adjacent to the New Morning channel, this is very positive for the program.
