[Ferro-Alloys.com]On Sep. 13th, Su Bo, deputy minister of the Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) said, they would actively push forward the clean production of the mines, strengthen the energy conservation and reduction, and avoid the low-level repeated construction. For rare metals and scarce non-metallic mineral products, like fluorite, and refractory clay, they would implement the mandatory program management. It was analyzed that to close the small-scale mines would decrease the raw materials supply and increase the cost of the smelting enterprises. As a result, it would promote to eliminate the backward capacity and improve the industry concentration.
According to the State Administration of Work Safety, during Jan. and Jun. there were 4,435 metals or non-metal mines closed, accounting 86.4% of the general task in 2013.Su Bo said, they would continue to rectify the mine production and strict and industry access.
