Demand Still Unsure for UK, European 18/8 Stainless Scrap Solids

[Ferro-Alloys.com] A post-holiday restocking increase in demand for 18/8 stainless steel scrap solids in both the UK and Europe still looks unsure, merchants told Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First on Friday August 23.
 
“September usually brings a return to general production, but it’s difficult at the moment. I think prices could dip [instead of rise] purely on weak demand,” one UK merchant said. “It is too early to tell if there will be restocking in September.
