[Ferro-Alloys.com] It’s reported that Korean Hyundai Steel bid Japanese H2 scraps and Shindachi scraps for ¥35,200/ton FOB and ¥40,500/ton FOB in last week. The prices are ¥400/ton lower on the prior comparable period.
Meanwhile, it’s estimated that the company’s total purchase volumes of the Japanese scraps are below 20,000 tons.
Japanese Tokyo Steel also announced to cut its scrap purchasing prices again by ¥500/ton on January 24th.
