[Ferro-Alloys.com] Chinese manganese alloy spot price continued to edge down as March purchase for steel mills drawing to end in Mid March. In fact, some alloys producers have already suspended recovering production plan. Furthermore, worsen market situation also allowed domestic traders to only purchase products on condition of accepting orders in a bid to alleviatepotential risk.

In recent period,, transaction price for silicon manganese 6517 in Ningxia and Gansu areas of China concentrated on RMB5,450-5,500/mt, while RMB5,600/mt in Fengzhen and Chayouqianqi of inner Mongolia. In south, silicon manganese 6517 focused on RMB5,800-5,950/mt in Guangxi and Guizhou, but fewer spot supply in Hunan and Yunan because of low operation rates.   

As of ferromanganese market, high carbon ferromanganese 65 lingered about RMB5,000-5,100/mt while RMB8,600-8,700/mt for medium carbon ferromanganese 78C1.5 with low P. Meanwhile, low carbon ferromanganese is basically in line with last month RMB9,000-9,200/mt.
