Japanese Stainless Producers Face Difficulty in Exports

[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that the Japanese stainless steel producers have faced difficulty in export markets due to fierce price competition against the Chinese cheap offers.
 
At present, the Japanese stainless steel producers offered the exports quotes at USD 2,800 to USD 2,900 per ton while the China's quotes are at USD 2,400 to USD 2,500 per ton, making most of Japanese stainless makers face difficulty in exporting.
 
According to statistics, Japan exported 61,155 tons of stainless steel flat products in July 2012, falling by 14.2% MoM and decreasing by 17.1% YoY.
 
In the first seven months of 2012, Japan's exports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 467,358 tons, decreasing by 14.6% YoY.
