According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of statistics on January 18, China's crude steel output will reach 1.053 billion tons in 2020.
In 2020, the output of pig iron, crude steel and steel (including repetitive materials) in China will be 88752, 1053 and 1324.89 million tons respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, 5.2% and 7.7% respectively. In 2020, China will export 53.67 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 16.5%; import 20.23 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 64.4%; import 117.10 million tons of iron ore and concentrate, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%.
In terms of regions, in the first 11 months of 2020, the top five provinces of crude steel production in China are Hebei Province (22911.49 million tons), Jiangsu Province (110.7329 million tons), Shandong Province (73.1239 million tons), Liaoning Province (69.5052 million tons) and Shanxi Province (60.2247 million tons).
