[Ferro-Alloys.com] Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) has announced a 1.16-billion-ton of mineral resource addition to its Greater Solomon following an exploration program.
The company said the amount of iron ore is estimated to rise by more than 77% to 2.66 billion tons.
The total mineral resource for the company’s Solomon Hub will reach over 4.5 billion tons.
The world’s fourth largest iron ore miner has also increased its mineral resource inventory at its Eliwana-Flying Fish project, which is estimated at 740 million tons.
