Ferro-alloys.com:According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JlSF), in December last year, Japan's crude steel production increased by 3.6% from the previous month and decreased by 3.3% from December 2019, totaling 7.53 million tons.
At the same time, Japan’s total pig iron output in December was 5.64 million tons, an increase of 9.9% from the previous month and a decrease of 6.2% from the same period last year.
From January to December 2020, the country's pig iron production was 61.6 million tons, a decrease of 17.8%, while crude steel production was 83.1 million tons, a decrease of 16.2%.
